Jakob Bengel Blue Necklace
Jakob Bengel Blue Necklace – SOLD
Jakob Bengel 1920s chrome and navy blue galalith necklace. Bengel was famous for his interesting and sometimes complicated linking designs and the use of galalith (french bakelite). This necklace has 4 galalith flat back panels separated by chrome flat back panels. The chain is referred to as a herringbone link design meaning it is soft and fluid. The necklace sits flat around the base of the neck.
Please see the other Jakob Bengel pieces I currently have on the website. I also have other JB items that not on the website i.e. brooches and dress clips so please email me if you would like to view.
Bengel pieces aren’t signed, the design is his signature, sometimes they may have a mark on the ring that the clasp attaches to which reads – Guaranteed or Gesch but that is as much as I’ve ever seen. I believe they did have swing tags, hence they were removed before wearing.
Please be confident in buying, I do not sell reproduction jewellery, these pieces are from a collector of Jakob Bengel who collected in the 1970s.
