Neiger Egyptian Revival Beads – SOLD

Here is another rare beautiful 1920s Czech Neiger Egyptian Revival Beads in yellow and red glass with scarab beads.  The necklace has been re hand knotted in the original pattern, so it is now safe to wear . The necklace is made up of round patterned yellow and red beads and yellow scarabs and yellow pyramid beads. There is an attractive Egyptian Revival head bead which is the central focal point.    To the near of the centre panel, there are some moulding/crazing marks, which is not an uncommon characteristic with these panels.  This is a very long necklace so fits easily over the head and comes down to below belly button level.

Those of you who collect or know Neiger jewellery will appreciate the Egyptian Revival design and the unusual colour combination.  I have collected these style of beaded necklaces for many years but haven’t come across this colour before.  The thread was inevitably found in a distressed state of repair but I have had this professionally hand knotted.

Neiger is one of my long time favourite designers, they were very prolific manufacturers, with many ranges and styles of jewellery producing necklaces, brooches, earrings and bracelets.  Their designs are very collected and sort after and at one time had their own ‘Neiger Collectors Club’.
